These terms govern your use of this website and outline the basis on which Insight Professional Partners Ltd provides its services. The full terms of any engagement are set out in a separate engagement letter, which takes precedence over the service terms below if there is any conflict.
1. Who we are
Insight Professional Partners Ltd is a company registered in England & Wales, company number 16943160; our registered office address appears on the public register at Companies House. The practice is led by Peter Edwards ACMA CGMA, a CIMA Member in Practice. We work remotely and do not operate a public office — the quickest way to reach us is by email.
2. The nature of our services
We provide bookkeeping, VAT return preparation and filing, management accounting, virtual finance-director support, statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns for small and micro-entity companies, and independent examination of charity accounts.
What sits outside our scope. We do not provide personal Self Assessment, tax planning or structuring advice, R&D claims, capital gains advice, or statutory audit. Nothing on this website, and nothing we provide before a written engagement is in place, constitutes investment advice, regulated financial advice, audit, or formal legal advice. Where specialist advice is required we will say so and, where appropriate, refer you to an authorised adviser.
3. Engagement and fees
We are only engaged once a written engagement letter is agreed. That letter sets out the scope of work, the fees, and the responsibilities of each party. Fees are as stated in the engagement letter. Either party may end the engagement in line with the notice provisions in that letter.
4. Free tools on this website
We publish free diagnostic tools, including the Quick Books Check, the Bookkeeping Health Check and the Dispensing Practice VAT Recovery Check. These produce an indicative view based on the information you provide or the files you supply. They are not an audit, not a formal opinion, and not advice on your specific circumstances, and no client relationship is created by using them. You should not act on a result without taking proper advice.
5. Your responsibilities
- To provide accurate, complete and timely information, and access to the records we need to do the work.
- To cooperate with the identity-verification and anti-money-laundering checks we are legally required to carry out. We cannot begin or continue work where those checks cannot be completed.
- To review the outputs we provide and to remain responsible for decisions taken in your business.
6. Professional standards
The practice is led by a CIMA Member in Practice and works to the professional and ethical standards of CIMA. We carry professional indemnity insurance as required and are supervised for anti-money-laundering purposes.
7. Our liability
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. Subject to the paragraph below:
- Our total liability to a client for any claim arising out of or in connection with the engagement is limited to the total fees paid by that client to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied to us.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
8. Confidentiality and data protection
We keep your information confidential and handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Where we process personal data within your business records on your behalf, we do so as your processor under the terms of the engagement letter.
9. Intellectual property
The content of this website is owned by Insight Professional Partners Ltd and may not be reproduced without permission. Reports and working papers we prepare for you are provided for your use in connection with the engagement.
10. Governing law
These terms and any engagement are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last revised.
